Noble gas elements belongs to 18th group of periodic table.
1.In Noble gases ,outermost s,p sub shells are completely filled making them very unlikely to give or receive electrons which makes their valency as zero.
2. Noble gases have high ionization energy and low electron affinity. Hence it makes them difficult to take part in the chemical reaction.
Conclusion : Noble gases are unreactive or inert under normal conditions.
