I could understand why this question might have came into your mind this is because the nominated members are being nominated by president only then why they were given this right?

OK so i would explain you this with an example

if someone is close to you and if even he is saying that you are guilty that does mean your chances of being guilty would increase that that would eventually help the second house to investigate the things with more accuracy.

their are no in-depth explanations about it but it is one of the reason for it.

Answer:

President is elected by the people of India. I know you may find it hard to believe but trust me, he is elected by us. What I missed is- the word “INDIRECTLY”.

And if he is indirectly elected by the people. Then who will be the voters? It is quite obvious that the voters will be those who have been elected by the people of India through direct election like- MPs and MLAs.

And in the process of impeachment of President which is done through SPECIAL MAJORITY TYPE-3(2/3rd of Total strength of house - only required for impeachment ). And total strength of house includes even the nominated member. The reason being -

President can only be impeached on tha account of violation of constitution (which is to be decided by both the house).

And if he is to be removed on the account of violation of constitution then it must be the duty of every legislative(including nominated members) to ensure the sovereignty of constitution be held and no one should violate it, nor even the President.
