The Non-cooperation movement was withdrawn because of the Chauri Chaura incident. Although he had stopped the national revolt single-handedly, on 10 March 1922, Gandhi was arrested.

gandhijee decided to withdraw non cooperation movement because:-

on February 1922 a crowd of peasants set fire to a police station in chauri chaura. Gandhi Jee not wanted to to take violence .so he started non cooperation movement according to this movement many lawyers gave up their practices British titles were surrendered legislatures were boycotted etc
