Why non metals do not react with acids to displece H2 gas.

Answer:

Non metal do not have the tendency to lose electron but to gain electron,this electron which are readily lost by the most reactive element like Sodium and potassium etc accepted by the hydrogen ions of the acids reducing them by hydrogen gas .
