Why northern and western states are becoming largest producer of sugar ?

jsukhman1709: The reasons for moving of sugar mills towards South and West India are as follows:
Tropical climate is ideal for the growth of sugarcane. South and West India has longer crushing season due to cooler climate.
Sugar contents (sucrose) in the sugarcane of south is more than that in the North.
Labour is cheap in this part of the country.
