Answer:

Explanation:

the major reason for such favourable conditions for agriculture is the presence of a network of rivers and its tributaries .rivers encompassed are the Beas, the Chambal, the Chenab, the Ganga, the Gomti, the Indus, the Ravi, the Sutlej and the Yamuna and its other tributaries flowing in this region not only provide sufficient water for the crops but also provide fertile soil also known as silt(it can also be said that alluvial soil composed of bhangar and khadar soil makes the land fertile for crops) for the growth of crops .the region being flat land also makes it suitable for agriculture unlike rugged topography where agriculture is quite difficult .the region also experiences continental type of climate which is suitable for most of the main crops .the region being densely populated there is easy availability of cheap labour and plains also have a good transport system for the transportation of agriculture and related goods
