After 40 years of continuing growth there will be a decrease of installed nuclear capacity in 1998 for the first time in the history of nuclear power. In 1997, less nuclear electricity was already produced then the year before. A historic turning point! This is the beginning of a trend and it will lead inevitably to the end of nuclear power in a few decades.
