Why number of pulleys in upper side of block and tackle system is more than in lower side?

Because by increasing the no. of pulleys, strings of that pulleys increases, and when the strings increases tension force on the string also increases and when tension force on the string increases mechanical advantage also increases
Hence, overall mechanical advantage increases, when we increase no. of pulleys.
