1. if we take a nail and place it on the surface of water it sinks into water this means that force of gravity of the mail which pulls it down words is greater than the trust for the buoyant force pulling it upwards does a body sings when its weight is greater than the Buoyant force acting on it.

2.if we take a piece of cork and a nail of equal masses and place both of them on the surface of water the cork floats over water while the nail sinks into water.

=> with these 2 examples, we conclude that the density of the material of a body is less than that of density of water it floats and in case if the density of the material of the body is more than that of water the body sinks.

soo, a body having an average density greater than that of water liquid in general things in 28 while a body of average density is smaller than that of water liquid in general floats on it.
