Offsprings formed by asexual reproduction are morphologically and genetically similar to each other, hence they are termed as clones.

The offsprings formed by asexual reproduction are termed as clone coz, the progenies are exact copy of the parent in asexual reproduction in which only one parent is involved..... such as budding, spore formation, fission, etc..
