Sometimes grown-ups fail to realize their duty and are so much engrossed in their personal lives that they feel it a burden to keep the parents with them. They feel it as an interference in their personal lives and eventually tell their parents that they can not keep them.

The ego clash between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law causes too much stress in the house and the situation comes at such the worst that they can not live together. New generation is becoming more materialistic and their attitude towards parents is changing. They seem to have lost their patience.

Old age homes are places which inhabit senior citizens in a positive environment, environment where people of old age feel comfortable to pursue their hobbies, share thoughts and ideas with like-minded people and enjoy similar ventures of interest. They are places where geriatric population resides to retire from hectic routine life in an environment where the ambience is peaceful, healthy and leisurely. It is home to extremely ill and outstandingly healthy, extraordinarily poor and fairly rich, unacceptable old peoples to lovable elders.

It really wrenches our heart to think about such suffering that the aged have to undergo, isn’t it? However, today I do not intend to talk on this often discussed topic. Yes I agree that a large number of senior citizens are often abandoned by their own kith and kin and left to rot in old age homes. However, there is also another side to the coin. There are also a sizable number of men and women who are forced to take the decision of leaving their parents in old age homes, because their parents leave them no other choice with their attitude and behaviour.

Hope it helps uuuu
