Why on decreasing temperature the conductivityof metals gradually increases(below a particular critical temperature)

as the conductivity in metals is due to the flow of electrons therefore at low temperature there are many free electrons in the metal which causes a conductivity whereas at high temperatures the collision frequency decreases thus it is not easy for electrons to flow
