When we heat a substances the kinetic energy of the particles increase so they vibrant even further and because of that inter particle space increases.

TheLostMonk: because density of a substance decreases with decrease in Temperature of substace or you can say keeping it at its melting point.
panuj329p1gs45: density decreases means its inter particle space is decreasing .....its not an answer u are just saying the question in another way

becoz by heating any substance an endothermic process occur dt breaks the molecular bonds of the particle nd by overcoming the attractive force they began to move far too due to repulsive force hence inter molecular space increases

TheLostMonk: inter particles space increases because of weak bonding between the molecules of substances, for decreasing inter particle space then we need to keep it at its boiling point.
