why one molecule of sugar is in the shape of hexagonal but it has molecules of carbon?Why?

sugar molecule has formula C(6) H(12) O(6)
it contains carbon but has nothing to do with shapes
it just gives it organic characters
shapes are decided by VSEPRT(VALANCE SHELL ELECTRON REPULSION THEORY)
