After a certain age, An individual becomes sexually and mentally mature. After that age an individual becomes adults.

According to the Indian Government marriage should be after maturity of individuals. Prohibition of Child Marriage Act states that a girl in India can't marry before the age of 18, and a boy before 21 yrs.
