why only food obtained from plants contain food ?​

• Roughage is obtained only from plant sources. Roughage is a food component which cannot be digested fully but helps in absorption of nutrients during digestion. As plants contain cellulose which we cannot digest, roughage is also cannot be totally digested by us.
