Hola!!❤❤

✨ Sodium and potassium are highly reactive metals which are one of the most reactive metals and when they are kept in open air they get burnt if they are in contact with air (oxygen) so they are preferred to be kept in kerosene... they even react vigorously with water so kerosene is the safest place to keep them...

hope it helps ☺

shrey835: why only kerosene
puhanrgpuhan740: Because these metals are very reactive to water and air

potassium and sodium are preferred to store in kerosene oil because these two metals are very reactive. potassium and sodium react vigorously with water and oxygen and a lot of heat is produced. and as we know kerosene don't contain any water.. as a result it helps from explosion of potassium and sodium. therefore it's preferred to keep in kerosene.

HOPE THIS HELPS..!!
