Why only mercury is used in clinical thermometer

(I) it doesn't to the wall of the glass tube.
(ii) it has a high boiling point and a low melting point.

in clinical thermometer mercury is used because:-
1. it expand uniformly on heating
2. it doesn't stick to the glass capillary.
