It has a very high boiling point and so it can be used to maintain high temperatures in the boiling and melting point apparatus without loss of the substance. It is liquid at room temperature and can maintain even temperature in boiling point/melting point apparatus convection.Any oil that is a liquid at room temperature and has a high boiling point like paraffin oil can be used instead of paraffin oil. Examples are mineral oil, coconut oil, olive oil.

Answer:
Paraffin wax is a white or colorless soft, solid wax. It's made from saturated hydrocarbons. It's often used in skin-softening salon and spa treatments on the hands, cuticles, and feet because it's colorless, tasteless, and odorless. It can also be used to provide pain relief to sore joints and muscles.
