As filament of bulb has high resistance as compared to wire has very low. Thus when electrons starts moving as we on the switch due to less resistance in the wire electron are able to go to the filament of bulb and as they reach due to high resistance when electrons and resistance offered by the filament of bulb collides heat is produced and bulb glows.
