coz its a law and as per as this question is concern it is natural law that opposite are attracted and same repels eachother

It's a fact of human nature that if someone is having different opinions or they support someone diff. most of the people generally develop feeling of hatred towards them ( although I don't support this, neither I practice it) ..
p.s: Opposite poles attract because they are supposed to do so, as per the universal law.
