why organism like bacteria are called prokaryotic?

because they are the old cells and in bacteria the nucleus is not developed

organisms are divided into two basic groups
1. prokaryotic
2. Eukaryotic

prokaryotic :- who's nucleus is not defined like bacteria, and many other microorganisms.

whereas

Eukaryotic :- those who have defined nucleus like animal cell, plants cells etc.
