Why ortho salicylic acid is avidic than para salicylic acid?

The reason is STERIC INHIBITION OF RESONANCE effect.
ortho salicylic acid is ortho hydroxy benzoic acid. There exists steric hinderance due to OH in ortho position to COOH and also a Hydrogen bond formation through a six membered chelation, leading to easier loss of H (of -COOH)
which are actually not present in para salicyclic acid
