✔Because our immune system responses toward the harmful bacteria. And to destroy those bacteria our immune system rises our body's temperature.

So, the answer of your question is something like this,

The temperature of the body rises during fever because the good microbes and antibodies in your body fights the harmful microbes, those microbes who are leading to some sort of malfunctioning in the body because of which the body is suffering from fever.

As the antibodies fight the harmful microbes in the body the temperature of the body rises.

This is something just like you are fighting with somebody. When you do so, you are exerting very much and there are so much internal activities also happening in your body. Something is also going in your mind which is increasing your anger. Then also, we say that cool down because are temperature rises.

You will also observe this phenomena after playing a sport for a long time.

Hope this helps you.
