The shape of the earth is not exactly circular, it is elliptical in shape.
Earth is a bit oblate/ squashed at the poles and protruding at the equator.
This is because of the fact that the distance of the Earth's center to sea level is roughly 20 kilometers greater at the equator than at the poles. So visual appearances are often deceiving. This phenomena in planetary sciences is called the Equatorial Bulge. The centrifugal forces due to the rotation of a planet cause it to have a difference in it's equatorial and polar radii.

due to gravitational force towards the center of the earth which makes the whole earth into elliptical shape.....
