Whenever light falls on the object, we obtain shadow. Shadow is nothing but the dark area to which light doesn't reached and hence it is black(dark) in color.

Shadow colour is always black. this is a good question why it is not a blue yellow white or green???
the answer is as the absence of light give the black colour so first of all we need to know why the shadow Forms??
the shadows are formed when the light is obstructed by any Opaque object and that obstruction to the light form the shadow..
and that area where the light didn't fall that take something like a black colour that is our shadow..
so we know that the shadow is formed when there is absence of light and that absence of light gives the colour black..
