bcz outermost vacancy of oxygen atom is 6 so it can't loose 6 atom it is better for oxygen that it gain 2 electrons (1s2 2s2 2p6 )

Hey mate✔✔
☑ As we know that oxygen have six valence electron, means for achieving stability it have to choice either loose six valence electrons or gain two electrons from other elements.
But, in loosing six electrons it need more energy in comparatively gain two electrons.
So, oxygen gain two electrons from other elements to be stabilised.
