Ozone Layer is very helpful because of the following reasons:-

1. The harmful UV rays of the sun split the atmospheric oxygen (O2) and the free oxygen (O) then combines with atmospheric oxygen to form O3 or ozone

2. The ozone Layer is poisonous for us but at the higher level of the atmosphere, it acts as a buffer for the harmful UV rays of the sun and prevents the UV rays from harming us.

3. This is very helpful as exposure to the UV rays can cause diseases like skin cancer in humans.
