why p salicylaldehyde has higher boiling point thn o salicylaldehyde​

Answer:

It is mainly caused by steric effect. if the bulky group present closely, its boiling point is higher . so o-hydroxy derivative has high boiling point than o-hydroxy benzaldehyde.
