Heya friend,

Here is the answer :

* In Pakistan, General Pervez Musharraf led a military coup and declared himself as the 'Cheif executive' of the country

* Later he changed to president and in 2002 he held a referendum in the country that granted him a five year extension.

* In August 2002 he issued a ' Legal Framework Order ' that amended the constitution

* The people elected their representatives, But they cannot take final decision

* The power to take the Final decision rests with the army officials and general Musharraf

* This happens in dictatorship and monarchy

* They formally have an elected parliament and government but the reals power are not with elected people.

* From this we can say that the Pakistan was not practicing democracy.

Hope my answer helps you :)

Regards,
Shobana

Pakistan under general Musharraf should not be called a democratic government because :

* People may have elected their representatives but they are not actual rulers.

* They cannot take the final decision.

* Final decision is only taken by the army officials and the Musharraf.
