why Parenchyma are generally located in the soft regions of plants​

Parenchyma cells aren't actually present in soft parts of the plants but due to presence of these cells some parts of plant becomes soft.

Parenchyma cells unlike sclerenchyma does not have any hard covering around them. They just have their Cell wall and Plasma membrane covered around. None of the hard materials are present as such such a Lignin, suberin, etc.

They are the main and abundantly found cells inside a plant. Mainly in the cortical and ground tissue region.

Hence the region where Parenchyma cells are found that region appears slightly soft.

The parenchymatous cells can become photosynthetic in nature called as Chlorenchyma or may help reduce the buoyancy of the hydrophytes forming the aerenchymatous layer.
