According to me P.T.M is very important because it tells the parents about the behaviour, Studies, Naughtiness of the ward,
Parents also tell about their ward to the teacher.
After knowing about the Ward's performance the parents can take actions on the child,
I also one had a very bad P.T.M experience,

parent teacher meeting is important because parents get know about the behaviour of their children in the school from the teachers. even the teachers explain how to study at home. the parents can also express the problems faced by the child due to homework, project works etc.... thus parents and teachers can form an understanding and can comprehensively work for the child's betterment.
however, I don't understand why even the child should attend the ptm as the name itself does not mention the child's presence.
it is not important if a student is pretty sincere at studying and don't have much backlogs.
