why parliamentary democracy is better than Presidental democracy
Answers
Answer:
Parliamentary democracy is better than presidential democracy because the executive and legislative branches are fused. Not only is the prime minister like the CEO of the country, but the prime minister is also the chief legislator. In a presidential democracy, the separation of powers can pit everyone against each other, leading to downfall of the government. Furthermore, the parliamentary structure is self purging. Prime ministers and their parties serve at the pleasure of the public as long as they maintain control. If they lose majority in vote on an important issue, an elections ensues immediately. In contrast, presidents and congress rarely approve budgets, and battles and paralysis have led to multiple government shutdowns. Also, elections in parliamentary governments cull systems of undesirable or ineffective leadership. On the other hand, getting rid of a president even if they committed a terrible act is very hard. The house first has to give two thirds vote to impeach the president, then the senate has to do the same to convict the president. In parliamentary democracy, the parties with majority in parliament must align with public opinion in order to consider getting re elected.
