why particles of colloidal solution do not settle down when left undisturbed ,whereas in case of suspension they do​

Particle size in a suspension is more than the particle size in a colloidal solution. Also molecular interactions in a suspension are not strong enough to keep the particles suspended and thus theysettle down, when left undisturbed. On the other hand, owing to their smaller size, colloidal particles remain suspended, even when left undisturbed.
