The solute particles settle down when a suspension is left undisturbed, i.e., a suspension is unstable. The solute particles cannot be separated from the mixture by the process of filtration.

Answer:
Because the particles of the solution are very small, these particles are not seperated by filtration process. But in suspension, particles are too large and they can be easily seperated.
