Why Patna gets heavier rainfall than Agra?​

This is because both patna in biharand agra in kanpur receive rainfall from the bay of bengal branch of Southwest monsoon which strikes myanamar at arakan yoma and starts moving westward

Hence since patna lies first in its way , it receives relatively greater rainfall than agra which is way behind
