Answer:

There is no water in the north pole for them to hunt because the ice is so thick. ... That is why there are no penguins in the north pole, they will always stay where there is easy access to water. Another myth is that all penguins live in Antarctica, but not all do. Penguins can live anywhere in the southern hemisphere

Penguins don't live in the artic or northern hemisphere because of the following reasons:

  • Penguins lay their young ones on land: They generally lay eggs on the ground, incubate and raise their young ones, which is not possible in the arctic region.
  • Penguins don't fly: As there are no birds that are not able to fly live in the arctic nowadays. flight is an important factor of defence against predators.
  • Penguins are good swimmers: They swim deep under the ocean which is not possible in the arctic region.
  • Danger from the big predators: like polar bears, arctic foxes, Humans as they try to breed in peace.
  • Natural calamities: like temperature fall down and collapse of icebergs leads them to get extinct from the arctic region.

So, these are some of the reason which leads them to live in the southern hemisphere than living in the arctic.
