It is because haemoglobin is the carrier of oxygen and carbon di oxide, this oxygen is used for cellular respiration inside mitochondria to release energy in the form of ATP if oxygen or lack of haemoglobin in any body then their rate of cellular respiration become less.Its obvious they feel lazy, tired, or exhausted

This is because haemoglobin is the carrier of gases like oxygen which plays an important role in respiration and this respiration provides energy so when the content of haemoglobin is low which results in less transport of oxygen and less respiratory thereby less production of energy
