In treta yuga people were taller than now. According to puranas Rama was supposed to eight feet in the dwapara yuga it came down to seven in kali yuga it is six feet. By the end of kali yuga the average was four feet. The unit of measurement might be different but the average height cannot be different. There is no much change in DNA for 10,000 old years.
