People living in Thiruvananthapuram wear light cotton clothes throughout the year while those in Chandigarh wear woollen clothes for some part of the year. This is because of the temperature variations. Thiruvananthapuram has a humid temperature thorugh out the year thatswhy they wear cotton clothes whereas people living in Chandigarh wear woollen clothes for some part of the year i.e. winter season.

this is so as Thiruvananthapuram is in Kerala and it is in coast region which experiences moderate climate throughout the year,it means that the climate is moderate, not so cold and not so hot throughout the year, where as Chandigarh does not lie on a coast region, it lies in the inner part of India and during winters chandigarh people would have to wear woolen clothes because it it experiences extreme climate and hence they would be very cold in that region.

i hope this helps you:)
