No its not true. There is a huge scope in arts. U could become IAS RAS IPS i.e. any administrative services. U can also go for hotel management wedding planner etc etc.
Today everyone is taking science and maths and bio so competition is increasing in them and. very few gets a job but in arts u will get a job in one or another sector

i our state (punjab) their was 10 meritorious school but but all school accepted three streams non medical medical and commers only one school are accepted arts but this school is only for girls
punjab me 10 meritorious school hai ar ek me hi arts uplabhd hai baki 9 me commerce non medical aur medical hi hai is se saf pata lagta hai ki arts ka mahtav kam kiya ja raha hai
arts are most cheapest stream about medical non medical etc.
and in punjab mostly arts teacher found here
