Why persons with colour blindness are not selected for military or for jobs like that of driver, pilot etc?Please give good explanation.:)

Color blindness will not make you ineligible to join the U.S. armed forces. But it will make you ineligible for some military occupational specialties, and for good reason. Prospective recruits generally take one or more of three color vision tests when they arrive at a Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS).

Many industries, including firefighting, the military, and law enforcement, have colorblind people restricted or even barred from certain roles. Meat inspectors must notice telltale defects, diamond appraisers must spot colour gradations, and bus drivers must react to stoplights, after all.
