It is the most valuable fossil fuel. it is used for running all machinaries, transport vehicles from a bicycle to aeroplane due to its immense value , it is referred to as " black gold"...

if answer i will say shortly wat i know is when crude oil is extracting from land it is black colour sooooooo and it is called gold because of it's cost

Petroleum is called as black gold because when the crude oil is extracted from the earth the crude oil is in black colour and it is quiet hard to find and it's value is also quiet high like gold...
