Why ph value increase on diluting an acid while decreases on diluting a base

heya mate.........

here is your answer..

pH value is the hydrogen ion concentration of a solution..
acids have hydrogen ions .on diluting the solution, more hydrogens are released..

but bases have hydroxide ions..
so reaction is reversed...
