In phenol phenoxide ion formed by loss of electron gets stabilized by resonance but in hexanol the ion formed by the loss of electron do not get stabilized by resonance.
Another reason is that the phenol is considered as an electron rich species hence it donates electrons than hexanol or any other alcohol.
