Why phenols are more acidic than ethanol

.The more stable ion is,the more likely it is to form .In this case phenol,the alcohol is almost similar to being non charged even after the hydrogen ion is removed and thus can have some acidic effect.

In phenol,pulling the electrons from the oxygen atom into the ring causes the hydrogen atom to be more partially positive than it is aliphatic alcohols.this means it is much more easy lost from phenol than it is form aliphatic alcohols,so phenol has a stronger acidic property than ethanol
