Unlike many other endothermic process , photosynthesis doesn't absorb energy as heat. Instead , during plants absorb energy from sunlight to turn CO2 and H2O into oxygen and glucose , the energy is stored in the glucose molecules (C6H12O6),ready to be used when needed .

Photosynthesis is an example of anendothermic chemical reaction. In thisprocess, plants use the energy from the sun to convert carbon dioxide and water into glucose and oxygen. This reactionrequires 15MJ of energy (sunlight) for every kilogram of glucose that is produced.
