Answer:

Photosynthesis at Night. Several elements may affect the rate of photosynthesis: carbon dioxide concentration, temperature and light intensity. If there is insufficient carbon dioxide, a plant cannot photosynthesize, even if it has plenty of light. If it is too cold, the rate of photosynthesis will drop.

Explanation:

At night, only respiration can occur, unless it gets too cold. In the day, photosynthesis dominates. If it didn’t plants would soon run out of food to respire. If temp gets warmer, PS gets faster, but if it gets TOO hot, it will stop, as the poor plant has to close its stomata to prevent wilting. The giasnt cacti we see take 200 years to grow so big!
