Why pinus seed fail to germinate under no mycorrhiza?

Pinus have mutualism relationship with mycorrihza meaning there is obilgatiry relationship.Fungi withdraws nutrients from soil and transport it to the plant and plants give food and sugar to the fungi.

But in absence of fungi there is no transport of nutrients so no photosysnthesis hence plant cannot germinate
