Why pituitary gland is called master gland 0?

The main endocrinegland. It is a small structure in the head. It is called the master glandbecause it produces hormones that control other glands and many body functions including growth. Thepituitary consists of the anterior and posterior pituitary.

Because it controls the functioning of other endocrine glands example....adrenal,thyroid,vasopressin ,pancreas,gonadotropin....etc
